Operators License Management

  • Setting up and maintenance of operators licenses for hauliers.
  • On or off site help with initial license application procedure.
  • Maintaining an adequate vehicle maintenance programme as required by law, periodic Inspection scheduling, ensuring a daily “Vehicle Defect” procedure is in place to be conducted by drivers and actioned upon where defects are noted.
  • Ensuring vehicles are MOT’d, tacho calibration schedules maintained.
  • Implementing and maintaining a “Driver Infringement System” informing drivers of any breeches of the law with regard to their driving hours, daily breaks, weekly rest periods, fortnightly driving hours and tacho infringements.
  • Overseeing and implementation of “Working Time Directive”.
  • Setting up and maintaining a tacho checking and filing system to comply with the relevant laws pertaining to these.

“As the CPC Holder/Transport Manager is legally responsible for the Operators License which he or she runs it is not suffi cient to be a faceless name on a certifi cate, it is essential that the Transport Manager is an active and present part of the team ensuring the Operators license meets and exceeds the standards set by law”.
